LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - There is an active investigation following an officer-involved shooting outside a Lexington hotel. The shooting happened just before 11:30 at La Quinta Inn on Stanton Way, off Newtown Pike near Interstate 75. Lexington police said an officer patrolling the area was investigating a suspicious Toyota 4Runner behind the hotel. While doing so, the officer shot a suspect. LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An early morning robbery is under investigation in Lexington. It happened just before 3 a.m. Wednesday at the Speedway on Liberty Road, near Man O' War. Investigators say two men implied they had a gun and demanded cash from the register. Workers told police they never saw a weapon, but complied and handed the money over to suspects.
